Pumpkin soup

I like the taste of pumpkin, but I have never eaten it as a child. It is not common in our country to eat it, it is meant for pigs. But for 4-5 years now you can buy them in every grocery or at outdoor market. And as I mentioned before I love soups in autumn and winter, so here it is – pumpkin soup.

Bučna juha

Všeč mi je okus buče, vendar je kot otrok nikoli nisem jedela. Pri nas so buče ponavadi namenjene prašičom, zelo malokrat se znajde na jedilniku. Zadnjih 4-5 let pa jih že lahko kupitš v vsaki živili ali na tržnici. In kot sem že omenila obožujem juhe jeseni in pozimi, zato današnji recept – bučna juha.

Recipe:

1 kg pumpkin, cubed

1 chopped onion

2 cloves of garlic

1 liter of vegetable broth

salt and pepper

olive oil

Heat the olive oil, add onion and garlic and cook over a low heat for about 5 minutes. Then add chopped pumpkin, broth, salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 30 minutes, then in a food processor process until smooth.

Recept :

1 kg jedilne buče, narezane na kocke

1 narezana čebula

2 stroka česna

1 liter zelenjavne jušne osnove

sol in poper

olivno olje

Na olivnem olju na nizki temperaturi pražiš čebulo in česen približno 5 minut. Nato dodaš narezano bučo in jušno osnovo ter sol in poper po okusu. Kuhaš 30 minut, nato pa v mešaliku spasiraš juho do gladkega.
