Pea soup (dry peas)

Yes, another soup. I really wasn’t kidding when I said I like soups in autumn.

Grahova juha (suh grah)

Jap, še ena juha! Res se nisem hecala, ko sem rekla, da obožujem juhe jeseni.

Recipe :

1 small chopped onion

1 table spoon olive oil

1 table spoon butter

1/2 dcl white wine

200 g dry peas soaked in water overnight

750 ml water + instant stock

or

750 ml vegetable stock

1 carrot

1 dcl vegetable cream

Saute the shallots in the butter and oil in a large sauce pan until soft but not browned. Add the wine and boil until reduced by about a third. Add the soaked peas with water, carrot and stock. Cook for 30 – 45 minutes on low heat. Pour in the cream, simmer for another 2 minutes and then blend until very smooth using a hand blender or a food processor.

Recept:

1 majhna nasesekljana čebula

1 žlica olivnega olja

1 žlica masla

1/2 dcl belega vina

200 g suhega graha čez noč namočenega v vodi

750 ml vode + jušna kocka

ali

750 ml zelenjavne juhe

1 korenček

1 dcl rastlinske smetane

Prepražiš čebulo na maslu in olju v posodi, dokler se ne zmehča, vendar ne porjavi. Dodaš vino in kuhaš, dokler ga ne ostane za približno tretjino. Dodaš grah prepojen z vodo, korenje in juho. Kuhaš za 30 – 45 minut na majhni temperaturi. Doliješ smetano, kuhaš še 2 minuti, nato jo spasiraš.
