Quick No Knead Bread

I never liked baking bread. It never turned out fluffy and airy, so I rather bought it. But when I was making a Czech dinner I wanted to make home made bread, so I could show my family the whole Czech experience. When I was browsing through internet I came across this recipe. It is easy and you don’t need to mess up the whole kitchen to make it. And the taste is surprising, because of the honey used.

Nikoli nisem rada pekla domačega kruha. Nikoli ni uspel puhast in zračen, zato sem ga rajši kupila. Toda, ko sem za družino hotela pripraviti češko večerjo, sem želela narediti domač kruh, za popolno doživetje. Ko sem brskala po internetu sem naletela na ta recept. Je zelo enostaven in za pripravo ni potrebno razmetati celotne kuhinje. Sam okus pa je presenetljiv, zaradi uporabe medu.

Recipe :

500 g flour 

400 ml  lukewarm water

1 table spoon honey

7 g dry yeast (one small package or 1 1/2 tea spoon)

1 1/2 tea spoon salt

Dissolve the honey in lukewarm water. Sift the flour, yeast and salt in a bowl, add the dissolved honey and stir rapidly using a fork. The dough will be soft and sticky, not smooth. Sprinkle with flour, cover with a damp cloth (or with a plastic wrap) and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or so. Transfer the dough on a floured pastry board using a spatula (the floured surface must be facing up) and divide it into three equal parts and gently transfers them in a baking pan covered with baking paper.
Preheat the oven to 220°C. Bake for 20 minutes, than lower the temperature to 160°C and bake for additional 15 minutes until golden brown.

Recept:

500 g moke

400 ml mlačne vode

 1 žlica medu

7 g suhega kvasa (ena majhna vrečka ali 1 1/2 čajne žličke)

1 1/2 čajne žličke soli

Raztopimo med v mlačni vodi. Moko, kvas in sol presejemo v skledo, dodamo raztopljen med in premešamo z vilico. Testo bo mehko in lepljivo, ne gladko. Potresemo z moko, pokrijemo z vlažno krpo (ali s plastično folijo) in pustimo vzhajati na toplem približno 1 uro. Prenesemo testo na pomokano desko z lopatico (pomokana površina testa mora biti obrnjena navzgor) in ga razdelimo na tri enake dele. Nežno jih prenesemo na pekač, ki smo ga prekrili s peki papirjem.
V segreti pečici na 220 ° C pečemo 20 minut, nato znižamo temperaturo na 160 ° C in pečemo še 15 minut do zlato rjave barve.
