Zucchini taquitos

Mexican food is certainly one of my favourites. I never liked vegetables before I tried mexican way of cooking. I know it’s not really mexican what we eat, but I never tried the real deal, so this will do for me. I hope my (yes I can officially say it now!) brother’s in law sister and her husband move here from the States and open real Mexican restaurant 🙂 But until then, I give you my version of taquitos.

Mehiška hrana je gotovo ena mojih najljubših. Nikoli mi ni bila všeč zelenjava, dokler nisem poskusila mehiškega načina kuhanja. Vem, da to kar jemo, ni prava mehiška kuhinja, ampak nikoli še nisem poskusila prave, tako da bo ta kar dobra. Upam, da se sestra mojega svaka (zdaj uradno) in njen mož preselita sem iz Amerike in odpreta pravo mehiško restavracijo:) Ampak do takrat, je tukaj moj različica taquitosov.

Recipe :

1 wheat tortilla, cut into 8 pieces

1/2 zucchini, cut into 8 stripes

cheese

salt and cayenne pepper

Salt the zucchini, wrap it in a piece of tortilla with some grated cheese mixed with cayenne pepper. Fry in oil for about 2 minutes or until golden.

Recept :

1 pšenična tortilija, razrezana na 8 delov

1/2 bučke, razrezane na 8 trakov

sir

sol in kajenski poper

solimo bučko in zavijemo v kos tortilije skupaj s sirom, ki smo ga pred tem zmešali s kajenskim poprom. Cvremo v vročem olju približno 2 minuti oz. do zlato zapečenega.
