Feta Cheese in Olive Oil

I am a big cheese lover and I like to know what I am eating. So when I bought Feta in Olive Oil I loved it, but wasn’t sure what was in it. So I decide to do it myself – to save money and make it just as I like it. Another thing I decided is to move my blog. I am not sure when I will do it, for now I am only reposting there. I am doing this, because there I will have more options with posts and advertising my blog. What do you think? Which one do you like more?

 

Sem velika ljubiteljica sira in rada vem kaj pojem. In ko sem kupila feto v olivnem olju, sem se zaljubila, vendar nisem bila sigurna, kaj je notri. Zato sem se odločila, da jo naredim sama  – da privarčujem in jo naredim točno tako, kot mi je všeč. Še ena stvar, za katero sem se odločila, je, da prestavim blog. Nisem sigurna kdaj, za enkrat samo še enkrat objavljam vse objave tam. To delam zato, ker imam tam veliko več možnosti za objave in oglaševanje bloga. Kaj ti misliš? Kateri ti je bolj všeč?

Valentine’s Day Mousse

Valentine’s Day is coming very soon now. I’m not a big fan of this day, but still I like to do something to show my M. how much I love him. He won’t be getting this dessert, because he reads this blog (at least he says so), I still have to think of something for him. But for those who don’t know how to surprise their loved ones, here is a yummy delicious recipe for Vegan Raw Raspberry Mousse.

Valentinovo so zelo hitro približuje. Čeprav nisem velika oboževalka tega praznika, vseeno rada naredim nekaj, da pokažem M. kako močno ga ljubim. Ne bo dobile te sladice, ker bere blog (vsaj pravi tako), zanj se moram še nekaj domisliti. Ampak za tiste, ki ne veste kako presenetiti svoje ljubljene, poiskusite s temle receptom za vegansko presno malinino kremo.

Garlic soup

I spent the holidays in Slovak and Czech Republic, more accurate we went on a road trip. From Slovenia to Vienna, Bratislava, Mikulov, Brno, Telč, Česke Budejovice, Česky Krumlov and back to Slovenia. I took a photograph of everything we ate, but they have such bad lightning in restaurants, so they are a bit blurry and underexposed. They eat a lot of meat so a vegetarian is often left hungry, not to mention if you are vegan. They put cheese on everything! What I ate almost every day is garlic soup or česneková polévka.

Božične in novoletne praznike sem preživela na Slovaškem in Češkem, bolj natančno, odpravili smo se se na road trip. Iz Slovenije na Dunaj, v Bratislavo, Mikulov, Brno, Telč, Česke Budejovice, Česky Krumlov in nazaj v Slovenijo. Fotografirala sem vse, kar smo jedli, ampak je bila v restavracijah tako slaba razsvetljava, da so fotografije bolj slabe. Jedo veliko mesa, tako da vegetarijanci pogosto ostanejo lačni, kaj šele, če si vegan. Sir dajo na čisto vse! Tako da sem skoraj vsak dan jedla česnovo juho ali česneková polévka.

Mexican quinoa

About 4 years ago I discovered mexican rice in my favourite cook book. It’s so simple to make and so delicious! Then about a year ago I tried quinoa for the first time. My mother made a soup and it tasted awful! I didn’t even want to hear about it ever again, but then I was working as promoter in supermarket. Right next to me there was an amazing cook promoting quinoa. He convinced me to try his dish – quinoa risotto with pumpkin. And then I couldn’t stop eating! I lost that recipe but I hope I find it before the pumpkin season is over.

Now I am trying new things with quinoa and this time I tried to make mexican quinoa. I just now remembered what was missing so it would be perfect – chili! (It is included in the recipe below)

Pred približno 4 leti sem v najljubši kuharici odkrila recept za mehiški riž, preprosto in odlično jed. Nato sem pred kakim letom spoznala kvinojo. Mami je naredila juho in bila je res zelo zanič! Po tem nisem hotela niti slišati besede kvinoja, do nekega dne, ko sem delala promocije v supermarketu. Zraven mene je zelo dober kuhar promoviral kvinojo. Prepričal me je, da se poskusila jed, ki jo je kuhal – rižoto iz kvinoje in buče. In nato je nisem mogla nehat jest! Na žalost sem izgubila recept, ampak upam da ga najdem, preden se konča sezona buč.

Zdaj preizkušam nove recepte s kvinojo in tokrat sem naredila mehiško kvinojo. In ravnokar sem se spomnila sestavine, ki bi jed naredila še boljšo kot je bila – čili! (Sem ga dopisala v spodnji recept.)

Pumpkin soup

I like the taste of pumpkin, but I have never eaten it as a child. It is not common in our country to eat it, it is meant for pigs. But for 4-5 years now you can buy them in every grocery or at outdoor market. And as I mentioned before I love soups in autumn and winter, so here it is – pumpkin soup.

Bučna juha

Všeč mi je okus buče, vendar je kot otrok nikoli nisem jedela. Pri nas so buče ponavadi namenjene prašičom, zelo malokrat se znajde na jedilniku. Zadnjih 4-5 let pa jih že lahko kupitš v vsaki živili ali na tržnici. In kot sem že omenila obožujem juhe jeseni in pozimi, zato današnji recept – bučna juha.

Clear vegetable soup a.k.a. best hangover meal

I’m not a fan of alcohol, especially not the next morning [wink]. When I know that there might be an occasion soon that could produce hangover, I make some clear vegetable soup or stock. With some homemade noodles from my granddad it is the perfect meal for that terrible headache!

Bistra zelenjavna juha

Nisem ljubiteljica alkohola, še manj pa naslednje jutro [wink]. Ko se bliža priložnost, po katje velika verjetnost za mačka, si pripravim lonec bistre zelenjavne juhe. Z domačimi nudelci, ki jih naredi moj dedek, je juha popoln obrok za tisti strašni glavobol!
